I must first apologize for being so bad about not keeping this updated...there are only so many hours in a day!
I did go to the Bahamas for my birthday and I haven't had time to do anything with the pictures from that yet but I will so keep looking here for more about that.
I had the opportunity to photograph the band directors son the other day and we had so much fun....here is a sneak peek at some of his portraits!

We have been very blessed at the studio with new business and we are thankful that you let us capture the images that you will remember by!
Visit our fair booth this week in Baxley for a chance to win a family portrait and also be sure to watch the video....chances are, if I have photographed you this year....you are on there! For those of you I missed getting on there, sorry!

After Convention

Wow! what a week! I had every intention of posting daily while at convention but I was busy all week! I had a great time and it was really great getting to see all of my friends from GA as well as a few from North Carolina!
Well, to fill you in on the happenings.... I was elected as one of the GPPA Directors At Large so therefore effective January 1st I will no longer be the Area Director for the Southeast!
I won People Choice this year with one of my prints and I will be posting all of my prints soon online for all to see. I needed 1/2 merit for my fellowship degree and I received 4 merits from my case and that is really good! Next year at convention, I will receive my fellowship degree!
I will write more later but for now......keep clickin'!

Red Bugs & Spiders ....OH MY!

Finally....summer senior sessions have slowed down and now we are starting school pictures! It has been a great summer and I have enjoyed every session that I have done!
From spider bites to red bugs to sun burn to well...you get the idea it has been an adventure that I will always remember. Images from these sessions to be posted soon!
I have been too busy to keep up with this blog but my goal is to update this at least once a week.
I have the GPPA convention coming up soon in Athens and I am so excited! I have a tail gate party to attend, a toga party to attend and My Big Fat Greek Awards Ceremony to attend....sounds fun! I need dress ideas for all three events....any suggestions?
Well, I have another session here so I must go until next time....keep smiling!

Riding on the River

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend some time with a senior and her family on the river...I had an awesome time!

Her dad had all these different places picked out and he had ideas of just what he wanted! I love it when parents get involved in these kids lives....it is great! Now don't get me wrong...sometimes parents try to help and it is more of a hindrance but in this case...it was awesome! He had ideas, the mom had ideas, the senior had ideas and I had ideas and they all worked hand in hand.

The images that you see is the session that I am talking about! The video of this session is at www.youtube.com/edgarsstudio

I strongly encourage our customers to have some input...there is something new and fun that I am trying with my seniors, unsure as to how it would go but for the most part....it's been great. Every time the camera flashes, they do something different, jump, spin, laugh, tilt...whatever....here is the result!

I hope this blog gives you some new ideas.....how bout sharing some of yours!

Senior Session

Finally, the session that I have been waiting for! On Wednesday, I took a local senior out to her parents property and we had a ball. We climbed on tractors, pivots, tree house, but my favorite was the woods!
Her dad graciously set up a formal dining table and setting in the middle of the woods and I mean in the middle of the woods! Well, as you can see in the images, it was great!
The images you see do not have all retouching completed yet but as you can see......I had a blast!
I can safely say that my favorite sessions are those where I get to go where the seniors are , most comfortable...usually their hangouts (river, woods, farm, garden, house, grandparents) you know wherever the subject blends the best.
Well, I can say that I love this time of year and I look forward to photographing all of the seniors at Appling County High School this year!

PS I did get spider bit doing this session and it was poisonous but, I have a antibiotic and the doctor says it is nothing to be worried about......was it worth it? O yea and I would do it again!

Where is your favorite place and why......?
